MIND POWER.
i'm not talking about psychic powers or supernatural abilities to read minds or make an object move. (although that can count!) i'm referring to the natural power of the mind.
i remember how frustrated i was after a math class, i was like "i'm gonna fail. i'm gonna fail." then a friend said, "wag mong i-claim." our thoughts are very powerful. if negativities cloud our minds most of the time, then there's not a doubt that it will manifest through our words and actions, perception about things, even about people, how we deal with them and just how we go about our daily lives.
my favorite girlfriends and i had a sleepover last sunday. and as our usual routine every time we get together, we eat! hehehe. we share thoughts, recent experiences, problems... you know the usual girl-talk. at some point, nega was all over the place. then out of the blue, jeni exclaimed "tink-pa-si-tib!!!" (ganyan talaga ang pronunciation!) with the strongest conviction pa talaga! anlakas mo jen! laugh trip talaga after. hahaha.
"think positive" is almost a cliche. whenever we're down or in an uneasy situation, people tell us or we tell people to "think positive!" look at the bright side! and all those optimism-filled statements that we often don't take seriously. delving into it deeper, positive thinking does a whole lot of difference!
it's hard to practice ALL the time, yah. but trying won't hurt, right?
"whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right."

i think i'll pass math14. i think i can. i think i will. i think.

WORD POWER.
text twist is fun. book worm is more fun! (i love the burning tiles! exciting!!) word factory is thrice the fun with friends and mocha fraj. and blue berry cheesecake. ;P but no, this isn't vocabulary power i'm referring to. intro lang. hehe. =D
thoughts are powerful. but words? they're a hundred times mightier! boyzone sings "it's only words..." but no, it's NOT only words. words have the power to MAKE or BREAK - people. relationships.
you know the feeling when you hear a simple "keep up the good work!" (hi sir myro! i'm starting to like you na. haha.) or a friend reassuring "everything will be alright..." (hi bruh!) very very simple words yet they count BIG time. kind words do not cost a penny so never hesitate to throw them. you'll never know how much comfort they can give. ;D
but they also say... words can BREAK. it's a two-edged sword. it can cut deep wounds that may take a lifetime or worse never, to heal. i read somewhere that the average person speaks 30,000 words a day. for some, it may be more. and lately, there has been "too-much-talking" going on, it's starting to tear "us." silence is not doing us any good either. i'm deeply sorry if i offended anyone. i know i have my own share of misjudgments and wrong acts in this situation but i'm more than willing to make ammends. i hope we resolve our issues soon.
words - the one power that we all have. it chooses no bearer. but the way we use the power is our choice.
"with great power comes great responsibilities." -uncle ni spiderman. =p

POWER NAP.
well, on a lighter note... power nap is my newest favorite past time! hehehe. i find it quite unusual how i easily fall into a deep sleep lately. i have trouble sleeping. gahd, everyone who knows me knows how crazy of an insomniac i am! pero nitong mga nakaraang araw, madalas akong makatulog sa mahal naming "tambayan." as in tulog. not your stage 1 - REM where alpha waves become delta waves, whatever that means (hi sir mike, i miss psy1). as in TULOG. wow. i never really believed in power nap until now. maganda palang pang refresh ng energy. perfect timing for this one hell of a tough week. hehe. :D
"sleep is gold." -moral lesson ng 4 year stay ko sa UP.
and speaking of sleep, 'gotta go get some! good night!
