The biggest and brightest moon of twenty-ow-nine rises tonight!
"Saturday night (Jan. 10) the moon will be at perigee, the closest point to us on this orbit. It will appear about 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other during 2009, according to NASA."
i'm a self-confessed LUNATIC... figuratively of course. or medically, pwede din!
i go crazy over Mr. Moon, no matter what phase he's in... favorite ko si crescent moon... but nothing beats a big, bright full moon! crazy kase, i talk to him..hahaha... and his stars! i spend hours by the window or by the shore just staring at the dark sky, especially when i crave for some quiet time alone...just a moment of escape from this busy world. there was i time na everyday ko xang pini-pichuran kahit di naman ma-capture...harhar. sunset lang kaya ng powers ni digicam eh. hehe.
it's interesting that full moons have names pala! this tradition dates back to the Native Americans or the now Northern and Eastern United States. amazzing... this month's is named as the WOLF moon. for february, it's SNOW moon! wow. i love it!
so the moon will be at it's fullest tonight! for my fellow lunatic friends (esp. irene and iya) make sure to catch him! pakabaliw tayo..haha. well sana lang the sky is clear! super ulan pa naman ng ulan! rawrrr.
